SIWECOS provides website operators with a free security check with which you can detect possible vulnerabilities on your website quickly and easily.

If you have any questions regarding the registration to or use of the service, we can be contacted at technik@siwecos.de. Telephone inquiries are not possible, however we are happy to call you back to answer any questions.

Notice: Notice: Please not that SIWECOS itself does not provide support towards removing possible vulnerabilities on a website, nor can we answer any questions regarding the configuration of content management systems.

We recommend that companies should always seek professional assistance to ensure the secure configuration of a company’s website. Especially when it comes to content management systems, there is a very active community that offers website operators practical support towards the maintenance, configuration, and creation of a secure website.

Support pages of popular content management systems

An overview of the different communities and their support forums has been made available by our project partner, CMS Garden. The association and its members are the first port of call for professional support and technical assistance with the operation of content management systems in Germany. Additionally, many regional contact persons and service providers for the secure configuration of your company’s website can be found on the communities’ pages.

Further Support

Please note that we are unable to make recommendations for any specific service providers. For these purposes, we can refer you to CMS-Garden and to other network partners, where you can find contact persons for your region.

Support programs for your IT security

The German federal government and most states currently offer support programs for the digitalization of companies. Subsidies for secure digitalization are often also components of these programs. For further information, please contact the respective contact person for the support program directly.

BMWi: German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi): The support program ‘go-digital’ is intended for small and medium-sized enterprises from the commercial or trade industries, who would like to digitalize their processes. Support is provided not only towards optimization and the development of the modules ‘Digitalized Business Processes’, ‘Digital Market Development‘, and ‘IT Security’, but also through measures that protect the company from the loss of sensitive data. How to benefit from the BMWi’s support program and further information on applying can be found on the BMWi’s webpages.

Bavaria:  The Bavarian government has managed to mobilize funding in excess of the previous budget. The support program ‘Digitalbonus’ is meant to help mainly small and medium-sized companies become well equipped for the challenges of the digital world. With this ‘Digitalbonus’, the state of Bavaria hopes to improve both the development through hard- and software, and of IT security in companies. The support program will run until 31 December 2020. For further information, please visit the webpages of digitalbonus.bayern.

Bremen:  Digitalization is complex, and many small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) need expert support in various areas of digitalization, such as big data, IT security, or the cloud. Saxony: ‘Mittelstandsrichtlinie’ (Standard for Medium-Sized Companies) - When it comes to designing work processes in the digital age, it is often the case that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) do not have access to the financial resources necessary for improving existing operational processes with the help of modern, IT-supported tools.
